The Express is slow moving The Ultra is quick and snappy. Those were sall common things the Rokus do now on to the main advantages of the Ultra over my older Express. for those of us with a nice sound system. The Roku’s natively streams in HI Def Audio Dolby Atmos etc.

Roku Ultra and a wired connection works like a charm. So my visits are reduced to family time now. So I ran a Ethernet jack to her TV in the main room and included a 8 port 60w switch for POE for the Ubiquiti G3 Flex and Pros on that side of the house.īasically, it works and it works great! I handle the Ubiquiti SDN controller for her and can provide technical support 70 miles away. Only that room had an issue when streaming over wifi. The other 3 Roku units work just fine on wireless. By this time it was to much to move the AP unit as its outside and the wiring would be a waste with the piping and all. But the Main TV is between 8 walls from the AP, so I tried a different Roku unit - another Premiere and an Express and they too had issues. Probably because I moved the Wireless unit for better reception for the whole house. I also upgraded her network to a Ubiquiti USG, 8 port 150w Switch and AP-AC-Pro for wireless.Įverything worked great, but every once in awhile she would get buffering.
